1. What is the Salmon?

A marine and freshwater food fish, Salmo salar, of the family Salmonidae, having pink flesh, inhabiting waters off the North Atlantic coasts of Europe and North America near the mouths of large rivers, which it enters to spawn.”(http://www.ask.com/main/followup.asp)

Fishes are the most beautiful animals in the world. They are not just foods for us; they are also the standard of the environment. We have never care about them until we cannot find them in the rivers and creeks.

As we know, pollutions are not made by one day. There is no any easy way to remove all the pollutions, and also the relationship between human and nature is base on economic reason. Before we find the strong enough reason to tell people how important to bring the fish back and why we have to bring them back. It is hard to find someone to do it with everyone’s support.

2. The Difference Between Two Environments:

During the end of July to beginning of October, a lot of fishing men go to Sacramento River for Salmon fishing. Have you ever seen people come to Sister Creek for salmon fishing? Unfortunately, the answer will be negative. The reasons are:

1. Riverbed:

Sacramento River has a broad riverbed, but Sister Creek doesn’t

2. Water:

(Sometimes we do even have water in the creek)

Sacramento River has a lot of water for Salmon to stay, but Sister Creek doesn’t have that much water. Only during winter (raining season) we can see the water in the creek. Also it is too steep to keep the water.

3. Population:

(More people equal to more pollution)

Sister Creek located at San Rafael area. There are so many people live here, and our school is also here. More people equal to more pollutions, be course of everyone of as produce waste material and waste gas, which make the air pollutions and water pollution. No matter what we have produced in goes in to the water and the water goes in to the creek.

There are not so many people live in Sacramento River area, only a few factories.

4. Government’s control:

Sister Creek is not as popular as Sacramento River. We don’t have any system to control the pollution that we have produced. We don’t have government to help us set up or return to the original condition or shape.

3. The Biggest Problem:

The biggest problem of bring the salmon back to Sister creek is on us. We don’t have Salmon in the creek for many years. There are no one can tell what did the creek look like before we can see the fish in the creek. There are no body care about that what’s in the creek but they do care about will it flood. Also no one has present any education program to teach people how to respect the nature environment. That’s the real big problem for not only San Rafael but also for our Earth.

4. The Mission Impossible III:

The only way come out in my mind to bring the salmon back is to kick every one out of San Rafael, and destroy every buildings that we have in this city. May be hundred years later we can see salmon migration again. As my classmate said” there are so many most expensive tiny houses in this area” they don’t care about every thing. They don’t even want spend money to buy wood. The relationship between people ant nature is based on economic reason. People will never movie to another place to bring something back that they don’t care at all. That’s why I call it the Mission Impossible III.
